Approval of finished portrait and framing When the painting is completed, I will send you detailed photographs of the final artwork. If there are no further change requests, you provide your final approval, and we proceed to select the frame together.
Final payment and shipping You will receive an invoice to settle the remaining 50%, after which I will dispatch the painting to your specified address.
Please allow 2-4 months for the completion of your painting. The painting must be completely dry before shipping. Depending on the colors used and the thickness of the paint layers, this process can take several weeks. Please contact me with your desired delivery date. I am confident that we can find a solution, even for short-term requests.
Ideally, I prefer to take my own reference photographs and discuss the angle and focus of the portrait painting in person, as I would like to meet the individual I shall paint to get to know them better.
However, if you reside far from my studio, if the portrait painting is intended as a surprise gift, or if you wish to commission a memorial portrait of a person who has passed away, I can work from reference photographs.
Suitable reference photographs should possess the following qualities:
High resolution
Natural lighting
Clear distribution of light and shadow, as this provides depth to the portrait painting
Photographs with strong frontal lighting that eliminates all shadows on the face are not ideal as reference images.
Once you get in contact with me, I will provide you with detailed information regarding reference photographs, show you examples, and send you tips on how to take a suitable photo on your own.
No. The reveal of the finished artwork is part of the joy of commissioning a portrait painting.

Individual portraits and memorial portraits are framed, and you can choose from three frame options. The selected frame is included in the total price. The price of the portrait remains unchanged if you opt to receive it without a frame.
Other commissions created upon request:
I can assist you in selecting a matching frame and handle the framing for an additional fee.
Once you place your order I will give you an estimated timeline. That timeline may be subject to change as every painting is created carefully by hand and requires a unique period to fully dry.
It is advisable to place your order at least 2 months in advance to ensure timely delivery. If you have a specific delivery date in mind, please inform me accordingly.
Please reach out to me so we can discuss the timeline together. Depending on my schedule, I may be able to accommodate your request for an earlier completion. Please be aware that an express charge may apply, as I would need to temporarily set aside other commissions to fulfill yours first.
There is no return policy for commissioned artwork.
Before I ship your artwork, you will receive several photos, and we will discuss any requests for changes. Only after your final approval will I ship the artwork to you.
